UltraMax wire rod specifications at a glance: carbon 0.10–0.15%, manganese 0.40–0.60%, UTS 480 ± 20 MPa and 30% minimum elongation, in 5.5 mm coils. Phosphorus is capped at 0.025% and sulphur at 0.035%, which keeps the rod from breaking as it is drawn down. We make to these ranges so every coil draws predictably.
